About Michael

The operator behind Ignite COO.

I'm Michael T. Brown — founder of Ignite COO and the operator running every engagement. Twenty-plus years of operations leadership across professional services, healthcare, and the U.S. military.

I previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Silverman Law Office in Helena, Montana, where I applied the disciplines I've spent two decades building — military-grade operational rigor, EOS and FLOW implementation, intake redesign, SOPs, and the leadership rhythm that lets a firm operate without the managing partner being the bottleneck.

After Silverman, I founded and built a successful healthcare company from zero through operational profitability. That founder experience is what distinguishes me from most fractional executives. I've actually carried the weight of running a real business — meeting payroll, hiring through growth, making hard calls when the buck stops with you.

And before any of that, ten years in the U.S. Army as a Ranger — Platoon Sergeant and Ranger Instructor. The operating discipline underneath everything I do came from there.
